With a decade in the tech industry, I have coached and mentored many creatives and tech professionals and saw amazing transformations in their lives. It’s showed me that the potential of someone is simply beyond the output they deliver, but in what they know of themselves and what they are driven by.
I am an ICF-Certified Coach (CPCC, ACC) and ORSC-trained Systems Coach with a Master’s of Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Most recently, I work at Shopify as a UX Manager.
To the outside world, I am the person who gets things done. It seemed that nothing could deter my proactive attitude or slow down my high-performing efficiency. The secret is that it came from a deep fear of mine, that I was not enough. So I'd do everything I could, even if it meant I repressed my own feelings. Being a first-generation immigrant in Canada, I also battled with (and still do sometimes) the discomfort and uncertainty of being between two worlds. Getting things done was my way of saying, "I've got this. I can do it."
Coaching seemed to come out of nowhere, yet it was a massive shakeup of my reality. I had to unlearn and relearn what I am and redraw my path. It transformed the way I live my life.
Deep down, I still feel the fire of that bold go-getter who craves learning and growth, and I channel it into bringing more fulfillment and magic into my life. Wonderfully, it has enabled me to support people who are trying to find their paths and bring their vision to life through coaching.
When I'm not working, I spend my time reading, writing, and trying my hands at something new (most recent adventure: furniture refurbishing).
